The Netherlands Film Fund support Grant Gee’s The Gold Machine

Producer Janine Marmot of Hot Property Films has partnered with Dutch co producer Katja Draaijer of Baldr Film on The Gold Machine.  The Netherlands Film Fund have added their support to the project alongside the BFI Doc Society Fund.  The Gold Machine, inspired by the writings of Iain Sinclair, a father and daughter footstep their colonialist ancestor to the Peruvian jungle. Their journeys flip between continents and centuries to produce an original mediation – part documentary, part fiction – on fate, family and the search for Eldorado.

This film is the third part of Grant Gee’s triptych that already includes Patience, After Sebald (2011) and Innocence of Memories (2015), inspired by Orhan Pamuk.
